Lafayette Church of God Music Ministry

Mission Statement:

First and foremost to worship God in Spirit and Truth! (John 4:24)

  1. To be those in which others would see the unity, strength and joy that only God alone can provide through our commitment to praise and worship Him. (1Corithians 1:13-18)
  2. To come prepared each service with our hearts and mind’s ready. (Ezra 7:10)
  3. To be USED as a vessel of God, making the way to lead others to the inner court.(2 Timothy 2:21)
  4. A place where they can release their burdens.
  5. A place where healing takes place.
  6. A place where bondages can be broken and people are set free!
  7. To unlock the doors of their hearts to hear the word of God, so they can be saved and find eternal salvation.

Goals:

In the next three months our goal is to raise our level of commitment by building a foundation of prayer, fasting, reading his word, and seeking God’s will in our calling to lead others into God’s presence through TRUE WORSHIP. We want to prepare ourselves for that which God has purposed in our lives and Church. We want to become SERVANTS to one another. For through this is the only way to become EFFECTIVE LEADERS. Also, focus on encouraging and bearing one another’s burdens. As we set forth our foundation, we have a vision in 2008 of a very tight nit group that can face the challenge of learning new music, blends of harmony, and stretching ourselves to a level of skill on which we have never been. As we place forth rotating praise teams, our goal to develop a, STRONG, HEALTHY, VIRBRANT, and REKINDLED CHOIR! One that can minister not only inside these four walls, but also in our community!

 

 

WHAT IS NEEDED TO ACCOMPLISH THESE GOALS?

Music Department

Willing Hearts- We need those whom feel lead to draw closer to God and lead others to him through praise and worship with a joyful heart. Using the talent God has gifted within by use of instrument or voice.

Encouragement- As God starts to move in the mist of our worship, we will be encouraged by your testimony of how God will move in your life.


Prayer List- We need to be on yours daily! There is strength in numbers!

Participation- We need you to join in active worship.

Expectant Hearts- Come expecting to be changed as a result of your worship
