Meet Renee Blackwell, Children's Director.
The Children's Department is designed to minister and draw children to Jesus. I believe if we instill God's word into the minds of our children, they will keep His word with them as they grow. We encourage our children to pray to God, as He wants us to cast our cares on Him. One of my favorite things is to encourage our children to worship, not just sit and be there, but to show them it is okay to raise your hands and shout hallelujah!

Message From Sister Renee
Hi Kids,
We all know summer is just around the corner. And we want to do
some real cool things with you this summer. So in order to do
this we need to raise some money. Here is how we can do this. We
are going to have a spaghetti dinner. And how can you help? I
thought you’d never ask.
Each Sunday is going to have a special name. For example next
Sunday will be “Spaghetti Sauce Sunday”. Here is where you come
in. We need you to bring in as many jars or cans of spaghetti
sauce as you can. And the next Sunday will be “Spaghetti Noodle
Sunday” so you’ll need to bring in as many boxes of noodles as
you can. Then well have “Salad Dressing Sunday” and well need as
many bottles of salad dressing as you can bring. Then well have
“Garlic Bread Sunday” where you need to bring in as many things
of garlic bread as you can. And finally well have “Bag of Salad
Sunday” and you can bring in as many bags of salad as you can.
And what do you get in exchange? Though you might ask that, each
person who brings in the most each Sunday wins a prize. And
every one who brings in some thing will be entered into a
drawing for a gift card to Wal-Mart. Prizes are awarded at the
end of our services every Sunday and the gift card will be drawn
for on the Sunday we have the spaghetti dinner.
So what do we have planned for you this summer? Well I know you
will be excited. We will be going to the” Zoo”, having a “Pool
Party”, a “Kids Night Out” and a trip to the “Cumberland Science
Museum”. So if any of these things sounds exciting invite your
friends to join us in Children’s Church. Remember these are
trips where we can let Gods light shine through us.
